Most job seekers look for jobs from recruitment websites since it is convenient to search for jobs online nowadays. But, have you ever considered looking for jobs through a recruitment agency? Some of you may think that recruitment agencies offer only top management or very senior positions such as chairman, general manager, etc. Recruitment agencies do headhunt potential candidates for very top positions of some corporations. On the other hand, they help companies look for candidates to fill up middle management and other positions.

In looking for recruitment agencies, find out their professional areas. Some agencies have more experience in serving corporations of certain industries, and so they can provide more information for job seekers on jobs in those industries. You can also take a look at the website of the agency to find out the corporations they have served before as reference. See if these corporations are those you would like to work for in your industry.

If you have identified one or two agencies to help you, you can contact them and arrange to meet their recruitment consultants in person. Talking with the consultants can let you know more about the agency, what types of services they can provide, their recruitment procedures, and if they are professional in helping job seekers. On the other hand, be reminded that recruitment agency acts like the HR department of a corporation. So, when you meet the recruitment consultants, you have to demonstrate your professional attitude as a job seeker. When they talk to you, they are also observing if you are a potential candidate for the jobs of their clients.
